Just a quick rant:

One of the recommendations from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährung - German Nutritional Society, a largely government funded NGO, designated as appointed authority on nutritional matters (page in German) is “Stay active and watch your weight.”

The page says that exercise affects health. But beyond “more exercise helps with weight loss”, there’s nothing on how diet can achieve weight loss — and nothing about the fact that exercise alone is far less effective for weight control than eating in a way that keeps insulin levels low.

So it comes down to: “…and watch your weight.”

What’s especially disappointing is that I (and others) have found from experience: weight loss happens in the kitchen. Exercise matters, but not for weight control.

Did I say rant?

Here it is: Am I already watching my weight if I step on the scale every morning?

😉🙄
